Are you getting your clothing beck from the laundry in a timely manner; or Are your rooms clean? Ask them something that pertains to that dept. and the'll start to speakup. We have so many that want to talk about food that I hade to give Dietary a day of their own. We have Food committee once a month.

2017-03-14 06:36:12 PM lanaf We have a "new" Dietary Dir. and when he gets a complaint, he takes the chef up to see the meal the resident i complaining about and they discuss how their going to make it better. The residents like that he care enough to do that.

2017-03-14 06:36:35 PM mfskal I try to always remember that resident council is a chance for the residents to complain. they have so little in their life that they have control of in our facility, so complaining is what they focus on. I try to listen, reason with them as to what the "real " issues are and then convey their reasonable complaints onto the minutes for resolution.
