2018-09-25 06:35:29 PM monicamankins ohhhhh ok haha
2018-09-25 06:35:29 PM tenabanks We usually have two trees up one in the lobby, and one in the dining room.
2018-09-25 06:35:36 PM elaine Some ladies organizations donate bingo prizes in our area.
2018-09-25 06:35:51 PM ibravo0788 we give staff heads a tree t decorate an have them do it with residents help
2018-09-25 06:35:59 PM joycenam our facility only celebrates christmas cause our residents are predominantly christian
2018-09-25 06:36:00 PM tenabanks We just give money for bingo. fifty cents for bingo, and $1 for blackout
2018-09-25 06:36:07 PM kathy52 that sounds like a good idea
2018-09-25 06:36:09 PM alejandra95 the kids from the choir also bring a little gift for them
2018-09-25 06:36:12 PM kimthompson I wish I had any community buy-in with short-stay rehab.

2018-09-25 06:38:04 PM joycenam cause we have every resident make one
2018-09-25 06:38:04 PM ksutlief are the laprobes knitted or what are they made from?
2018-09-25 06:38:05 PM alejandra95 for the centerpiece we do a gift box made out of a shoe box and they just decorate it the way they want
2018-09-25 06:38:07 PM heatherr we did last year! Ended up filling fifteen shoe boxes.
2018-09-25 06:38:08 PM micheleaalford One of our local churches sends shoeboxes full of essentials and gifts to the needy in Mexico. My residents will help wrap the gifts this year.

2018-09-25 06:39:47 PM ksutlief Thanks, Kathy. I think the shoeboxes are wonderful. But I am really trying to think of something my residents can do without families forking out more money. Dementia patients do not have any money with them. So many of the things we could do, would require more money from the family members.
2018-09-25 06:39:48 PM foram23 we have a christmas card competition. if they get to win thier painting will be on the facility's christmas card
2018-09-25 06:39:51 PM ibravo0788 yes i think so

2018-09-25 06:41:27 PM laurachapman haha yes
2018-09-25 06:41:34 PM larnesonmoody whoa! past 1?

2018-09-25 06:43:12 PM kathyhughes We had a Scrooge a thon for December
2018-09-25 06:43:16 PM rwwright18 We give tokens for bingo prizes. tokens are equivent to 25 cents. We sell cokes and chips and candy in our little store for $1 each after paying 30-50 cents per item. so we are still making money.
2018-09-25 06:43:24 PM tenabanks We do movie day every friday, and it depends on the season as to the type of movie. We start in December and show Christmas movies. We use the television, and DVD player, but I've been thinking of investing in a projector because we have a big screen in one end of the dining room.
2018-09-25 06:43:26 PM micheleaalford That's interesting.
