2018-05-08 06:36:45 PM dfrana I do a game called What's in a Word. I find a word, with lots of letters in it, print it out on sheets for residents to have in their hands. I have a large White Board, put the word at the top and divide the word into the letters alphbetically and then they call out all the words they can find and I write them down. They start out slow but then you give em a few hints on words and you can almost see the sanapsis in their brains sparking as they successfully call out the found words. In time they get better and better at it. I have even done this in Memory Support....

2018-05-08 06:47:23 PM dmartin due to the lack of funding and housing for mental health we are now seeing a rise in residents whom need our skilled services but then have no where to discharge too in other words are homeless and some whom really are fighting being there and a couple whom would not be so nice to a animal when no one is looking
2018-05-08 06:47:23 PM karenfabian MA, we have companies that can come and clean/feed fish - patients love to watch the fish
2018-05-08 06:47:25 PM cindybrady4 the staff ( myself included) we can bring our dogs in for a visit, as long as we have their records on file

2018-05-08 06:48:27 PM constance You can't feel or pet a fish. Sensory for the smell, touch and sound response from a cat or dog.
