2018-10-25 06:04:21 PM karenfabian We recently started a men's group and 3 men who attended actually worked together at the ship yard. During lunch one of the men was SO apprecive I invited them to the group
2018-10-25 06:04:30 PM maryb My residents are always commenting how they appreciate me. It feels good when they attend group events.
2018-10-25 06:04:33 PM kathyhughes I would like to know a time when you felt appreciated at your job and what that individual did to make you feel appreciated
2018-10-25 06:04:48 PM cantrellyard For Halloween we did the toilet paper roll pumpkins with orange trash bags we made eyes and nose and mouth. the residents love them a few took them to their room
2018-10-25 06:05:02 PM kathyhughes Have you ever had a boss who made you feel appreciated?
2018-10-25 06:05:14 PM donnalova2 Yes,,
2018-10-25 06:05:18 PM merrinoelpeterson I feel appreciated anytime a resident participates in a program, or anytime they laugh or smile. Also Ive had my manager mail a couple thank you cards to me over the years telling me that staff have commented on how wonderful my programs are or how great I am with my residents so thats always nice. When I was off this past week I came back to alot of hugs and smiles, residents telling me they missed me...thats the best because I missed them just as much
2018-10-25 06:05:29 PM arutgers78 When I felt appreciated? was when my boss recognize my extra step I did to help her
2018-10-25 06:05:52 PM diannekilroy I have a wonderful AD, she has always made me feel appreciated. I work evey weekend, my choice,I ask too, Because the weekends are lonely. I am bymyself. She always will tell me what a difference I make for this department. I come in happy and try to stay positive, but nursing homes have Politics. Yet we are a strong team in Acivities
2018-10-25 06:05:57 PM kathyhughes And how did she recognize you?
2018-10-25 06:06:06 PM karenfabian One of our residents "Penny" said I LOVE YOU! Appreciation enough. That's why we do this :)

2018-10-25 06:06:19 PM maryb When working in the corporate world, all of my bosses went out of their way to show appreciation. This job could care less about me. Crazy!
2018-10-25 06:06:26 PM cantrellyard Yes My administrator always makes my feel appreciated. He is alway telling me a do a good job. that I have great ideas
2018-10-25 06:06:48 PM hippolyte53 I feel appreciatted when the staff cna, ADON, or family member tell me I'm doing a great job...
2018-10-25 06:07:06 PM maryb I made more money coming out of college in 1987 than I do now. With less appreciation from our boss.
2018-10-25 06:07:09 PM sburgess I feel apprecitaed on a daily basis by my residents, but I love to feel apprecitated by other staff members who will regconize if I have gone above, by writing appreciation cards. I also enjoy hearing thank yous from family members
2018-10-25 06:07:36 PM donnalova2 My boss always makes me feel appreciated. He trusts me to run the department when he's not there. He always tells me he has not problem taking time off because he know he can depend on me to handle everything just as he would. I appreciate this very much.
2018-10-25 06:08:11 PM merrinoelpeterson also when my coworkers comment on a program or tell me a resident was talking about one of my programs in their program later that day, its a great feeling

2018-10-25 06:08:16 PM arutgers78 Mine sometimes bring me the best philipine cheesburger especial when I work hard....dang I been work a lot as CNA because our staff are short and as Activity Director and as receptionist, central supply, admission and laundry...
2018-10-25 06:08:30 PM cantrellyard I have my friends and family tell me that the residents are blessed to have me
2018-10-25 06:08:46 PM kathyhughes So how can we pass that appreciation on to other staff??? Activities staff, volunteers or other departments
2018-10-25 06:08:50 PM donnalova2 My residents always tell me how much they appreciate me. This melts my heart when I know they appreciate me.
2018-10-25 06:08:53 PM merrinoelpeterson thats too cantrellyard its a great feeling
2018-10-25 06:09:25 PM arutgers78 I think recognize what the staff doing right is a way they feel appreciate

I always think of someone, even when it isnt that time Ill let her know if someone went out of their way to help me or if I see someone who it great at their job
2018-10-25 06:10:45 PM merrinoelpeterson nominate them for employee of the month always helps too

2018-10-25 06:11:29 PM donnalova2 I always tell anyone that helps me out how much I appreciate them and thank them a hundred times. Just today, a resident was yelling at a nurse who I know works very hard. I stepped to diffuse the situtation and told the resident how wonderful she was and how she hadn't stopped since she came in this morning. In the end the resident was apologizing to the nurse. I always make sure I tell others how much I appreciate them.
2018-10-25 06:11:32 PM maryb There used to be an employee of the month, but that doesn't happen anymore.
2018-10-25 06:11:55 PM hippolyte53 And I always tell them my job is much easier because of them helping Residents to Activities.

2018-10-25 06:17:49 PM karenfabian It doesn't take alot to say thank you. Happy to have activities lead the pack being appreciative.
