Also Ive had my manager mail a couple thank you cards to me over the years telling me that staff have commented on how wonderful my programs are or how great I am with my residents so thats always nice. When I was off this past week I came back to alot of hugs and smiles, residents telling me they missed me...thats the best because I missed them just as much

I always think of someone, even when it isnt that time Ill let her know if someone went out of their way to help me or if I see someone who it great at their job

Just today, a resident was yelling at a nurse who I know works very hard. I stepped to diffuse the situtation and told the resident how wonderful she was and how she hadn't stopped since she came in this morning. In the end the resident was apologizing to the nurse. I always make sure I tell others how much I appreciate them.

2018-10-25 06:42:59 PM kathyhughes I don't know if it is too late, but I know of several facilities who set up a Talk with Santa telephone line and residents take turns being Mr and Mrs Claus and answer the phone from kiddos wanting to talk to Santa
