2019-02-19 07:34:53 PM rrobinson memory quilt could be tough for us because we dont quilt. but if we could take pictures throughout the week, we could involve the residents in a scarpbooking event on friday. create a scrapbook of all of the fun events we did all week. the book would take some time to complete, but that just means we get to look back and enjoy the events for as long as it takes to put the book together
2019-02-19 07:34:53 PM amyc84 doing what you love and enjoying life to its fulleset

2019-02-19 07:36:17 PM kimranck We are collecting luggage and bookbags for children in foster care. We opened this up to families this month for kindness month. We also had residents hand out flowers at the local wawa for valentines day. In our healthtalk this month we discussed how doing things for others helps feed our souls.
2019-02-19 07:36:30 PM rrobinson to me, living soulfully is doing what your soul calls you to do. For me, that includes spending time with family, being the best I can for my residents, spending time with friends, making time to go to the gym a few times a week, making sure I'm paying attention to the needs of myself and those around me.

2019-02-19 07:52:09 PM clcroom sometimes I do, too. I step back and look at small picture instead of everythng that I have to do. it helps.
2019-02-19 07:52:25 PM clcroom Don't give up. you'll kick yourself. my 2nd time in this course.
2019-02-19 07:52:37 PM clcroom I was an idiot. i'd be done by now.

2019-02-19 07:53:14 PM clcroom You guys can do it. You've made it this far, s
2019-02-19 07:53:19 PM clcroom why stop now?
2019-02-19 07:53:45 PM cassandrac I dont work in acivity. Im a cna right now. Im trying to understand everything but its hard
2019-02-19 07:54:37 PM clcroom I'm a CNA as well, but i've been doing activities for a couple years. Some of the things in this class i have never used and i don't think that I ever will.
2019-02-19 07:54:59 PM johannamccargish Thats me too, I am the receptionist, they want me to take the course but yet they are going to hire a new Director, sometimes i wonder why I am doing this?
2019-02-19 07:55:46 PM clcroom I've been acting director between new directors for years now. i'm done with that. this is my turn. i'm taking it.
2019-02-19 07:56:10 PM johannamccargish Go for it, you will do great!!
2019-02-19 07:56:16 PM clcroom I've seen four directors come and go, and I've filled in all four times.
2019-02-19 07:56:30 PM clcroom some of this doens't make sense, but it'll be worht it.
2019-02-19 07:56:39 PM clcroom Have faith in yourself........
2019-02-19 07:56:41 PM clcroom we do.
2019-02-19 07:56:42 PM johannamccargish Where are you from clcroom?
2019-02-19 07:57:21 PM clcroom Sarasota, FL.......you?
2019-02-19 07:57:58 PM johannamccargish We haven't had a director since June of last year when ours had back surgery and had major compications, he hasn't had any luck finding one. Dayton, Ohio
2019-02-19 07:58:27 PM clcroom Then you're doing the job?
2019-02-19 07:58:41 PM cassandrac We cant keep one. They only stay for 2yrs then leave. So i was thing about trying it. I wanted to get a better job.
2019-02-19 07:59:20 PM clcroom Longer than i've seen mine stay for. the longest was one year.
2019-02-19 07:59:36 PM johannamccargish No just the courses. Then if they cant find one I can have the job, thats whay makes this harder. I dont have a clue!
2019-02-19 07:59:40 PM clcroom I want a better job, too. Stick with it. It'll happen.
2019-02-19 08:00:06 PM clcroom So who's running the show now?
2019-02-19 08:00:40 PM clcroom It's been a year and i don't know about you, but our window for state has opened. we had to hire one asap
2019-02-19 08:01:47 PM johannamccargish Thats what I think, firm believer in things have a way of working out. Our assistant. She wants out. I hope I dont get stuck with a mess when state comes this summer.
2019-02-19 08:02:03 PM cassandrac They gave it to the assistant. Me and her are taking these classes together. I was going to take it but wanted to get the classes done 1st.
2019-02-19 08:02:36 PM clcroom Are you in acitvities now, johann? if she's not happy, it'll probably be messy.
2019-02-19 08:03:32 PM cassandrac left the chat room
2019-02-19 08:03:50 PM clcroom they just hire from the outside in my case......we have to go by federal law and that states that a certification at the least is needed.
2019-02-19 08:03:58 PM johannamccargish No I am the receptionist/adminstrative assistant. I help out some and am good freinds with the old director. She has been a big help. She took the courses when she first took the position
2019-02-19 08:04:01 PM clcroom experience means nothing.
