2019-04-16 06:22:13 PM kathyhughes First I read an activity today where all the activities were only 1/2 an hour... so I am guessing that the activity ends way too soon for the Men to enjoy themselves
2019-04-16 06:22:13 PM virginiamooney We have a mens group. They love pie and desserts, so I make things for them. And we took them out to their favorite breakfast buffet in town last week.

2019-04-16 06:23:05 PM christina83 Wow, our activities are an hour or longer depending.
2019-04-16 06:23:06 PM danae23 How long are the activities typically?
2019-04-16 06:23:07 PM vgrenier2019 sports trivia, documentaries and western themes are always a hit

2019-04-16 06:23:16 PM sherryc There are lots of local car shows in the summer
2019-04-16 06:23:18 PM tracyanderson car museum and pancake/bacon bar sound great. I think 1/2 hour is pretty tight for an event, but 2 hours is pushing it
2019-04-16 06:23:20 PM dianeg Depending on the season, we have a male aide watch baseball/basketball/football have beer if allowed with them. they have wings or something they can eat for Mens Club

2019-04-16 06:23:40 PM brydentammyyahoocom same here
2019-04-16 06:23:41 PM vgrenier2019 our activities are 1 to 1.5 hours movies run longer sometimes
2019-04-16 06:23:41 PM iarygarcia mine too... 1& 1/2 or longer

2019-04-16 06:24:11 PM erittenhouse1683 Ours are 1/2 an hour to an hour, unless it's a huge event
2019-04-16 06:24:17 PM kathyhughes No I would think that the guys want to spend some time together and a 1/2 hour is too short
2019-04-16 06:24:22 PM sherryc We usually budget an hour but BINGO always runs longer and sometimes a craft will take more than an hour. I usually pad time with some sort of trivia
2019-04-16 06:24:28 PM brydentammyyahoocom i agree
2019-04-16 06:24:32 PM tammyrlove110618 others 30 min to hour

2019-04-16 06:25:04 PM kathyhughes I would not go to a 1/2 hour one...once you got everyone there it would be time to go back
2019-04-16 06:25:05 PM christina83 Way to short. Not enough time to assist those who need it. I believe it needs to be at least an hour. Some can be shorter but not the norm
2019-04-16 06:25:08 PM sami Tracy are you the only one that does the activities?
2019-04-16 06:25:18 PM iarygarcia even if they don't join in they still have fun giving their input

2019-04-16 06:25:21 PM catherinemello need at least an hour.. need time for transportation
2019-04-16 06:25:36 PM sami 5 to 6 seem like a lot of activities!
2019-04-16 06:25:39 PM sherryc Do you all have an exercise group that runs every day?
2019-04-16 06:25:45 PM brydentammyyahoocom i figured at one time how long it took to do activity
2019-04-16 06:25:49 PM tammyrlove110618 we do several 30 -hour together

2019-04-16 06:25:55 PM karensharp most are a hour, the only time we have a 1/2 hour activity is if we gotta fill in a little time before our next bigger activity
2019-04-16 06:25:56 PM kathyhughes We would also have 2 activities going at once
2019-04-16 06:25:58 PM vgrenier2019 we do 8am-8pm with 1130-1230 for lunch 8am-11am is morning program coffee news exercise rosary etc but we have 2 main activities

2019-04-16 06:26:06 PM tracyanderson there are two of us, but one typically is driving. I have 2-3 activities in the morning and 2-3 afternoon activities. It's a bit exhausting!

2019-04-16 06:26:34 PM brydentammyyahoocom i figure 30 so minutes to get residents and supplies together act.bout 1 hr
2019-04-16 06:26:43 PM sami Tracy, do a lot of people come to all those activities?
2019-04-16 06:26:45 PM brydentammyyahoocom and 30 mins to pick up
2019-04-16 06:26:49 PM sherryc Wow christina. Do any residents attend both?
2019-04-16 06:26:56 PM kathyhughes Then Facetime them all in together!!!
