2014-04-29 06:26:30 PM debbie134 My budget is $250.00 per month with 76 residents.$180.00 goes to entertainment
2014-04-29 06:26:46 PM amberfields the more we dget the higher ours goes up

2014-04-29 06:26:50 PM 040965 $300.00 for me.
2014-04-29 06:26:52 PM jamiesmith kat-those that are sleeping try 1:1 physical activity with them. You could do ball toss or if they cognitively lower functioning you could sit with each resident individually and provide sort of like a range of motion. Lift their arm up and as your doing it explain to them what you are doin. Of course only do these exercises with those that you know are physically ok to do so
2014-04-29 06:26:53 PM rose48mary is the one thousand twenty seven
2014-04-29 06:26:57 PM lisab KATHY GREAT IDEA
2014-04-29 06:27:03 PM nans i dont have a budget but i get a lotof donation.
2014-04-29 06:27:05 PM jenniferr debbie134 entertainment seems to always take a chunk out
2014-04-29 06:27:06 PM kathyhughes write down all that they say on a flipchart in big letters and then have them use that for their activity planning
2014-04-29 06:27:24 PM bethanyf good idea
2014-04-29 06:27:27 PM tubbsretricia I struggle with documentation. I rathr be with them It is my weakness
2014-04-29 06:27:29 PM rose48mary is that one thousand twenty seven...sorry
2014-04-29 06:27:29 PM johndavid however, if we are in need of anything, most families are really good at donating supplies
2014-04-29 06:27:38 PM kathyhughes then when you do the calendar put the name of the participant that named it in the titla
2014-04-29 06:27:41 PM kathyhughes title
2014-04-29 06:27:45 PM rose48mary wow thats a large budge

2014-04-29 06:27:49 PM katcarpender yah, the head activity director is coming tomorrow to discuss changes but he really has no idea about our facility- we are literally the lowest of the low on the totem pole.
2014-04-29 06:27:50 PM rose48mary budget
2014-04-29 06:27:52 PM kathyhughes like "Kathy's Happy Hour"

2014-04-29 06:27:57 PM marybowden entertainment always costs a lot
2014-04-29 06:28:03 PM amberfields 1,027 yes
2014-04-29 06:28:08 PM jamiesmith just remember that everything in the environment is stimulation to them. They may not be able to participate but those that are lower functioning and awake can still observe the program and hear the conversations taking place or the music being sung
2014-04-29 06:28:10 PM tubbsretricia I likethat idea kathy
2014-04-29 06:28:15 PM dgauntlett or Dominoes with Danielle :)
2014-04-29 06:28:19 PM rose48mary wow

2014-04-29 06:28:31 PM johndavid we also do alot of outreach with Virginia Tech and Radford University who in return send us lots of interns and volunteers as well as musical performers and donations of other sorts
2014-04-29 06:28:48 PM katcarpender we only have 3 on staff for each shift, with one doing the meds, the head of nursing comes in on tuesdays and our administrator and oh the chef
2014-04-29 06:28:56 PM lindayoung1964 just about all of our entainment is free
2014-04-29 06:28:57 PM marybowden I get free entertainment when I can, but usually its 50-80
2014-04-29 06:29:02 PM amberfields I love my place that i work at they make sure we have everything we need for the residents
2014-04-29 06:29:14 PM amberfields 80 for me also
2014-04-29 06:29:17 PM rose48mary mine is usually 60-75

2014-04-29 06:29:36 PM katcarpender i know im complianing- dont get me wrong i love the job always have but this a HUGE change
2014-04-29 06:29:44 PM rose48mary for big events i will spend up to 300
2014-04-29 06:29:49 PM katcarpender so i apologize. kinda needed to vent.
2014-04-29 06:29:51 PM lynn11 we have alot of free entertainment too. although I did just plan our summer concert series. one per month for june july aug. paid entertainers.
