This year, before Scrooge the Musical I'm coming in every evening to sit by the fire and read Dickens' A Christmas Carol with cocoa. It's cheap and homey and lets the residents do something while the aides are busy putting others to bed.

2016-10-25 06:15:30 PM dorisb We used to have three separate Christmas parties for the residents. One put on by the churches, one by the facility for families, and another by our auxiliary. The kitchen decided it was getting too much, and cut it down to one big party on Christmas eve. We have a candlelight service followed by a nice meal that families are invited to attend.

I keep getting disapproval ratings from my boss (who is a fantastic boss) because I ust have this blank...I've lived in my house for 12 years and still have no curtains in the bedroom because I just CAN'T. Decorating a whole facility is just.....wow. I'm so bad.
