2017-03-28 06:19:35 PM lanaf special needs floor, where we have our 1:1 residents. So our activity person, "has" to be there in the am but, I have a few residents who like to help; and when residents are in any of the dining rooms, there "has" to be a CNA in there. They do 15 minute intervals. So, One of my ladies ( after I set up the room ) will read Dear Abby from the local paper on a Sunday Am to ladies aroung the table and they'll discuss it. Sometimes in the evening. I'll get those Adult coloring books and a large box of colored pencils and my more alert residents will hand them out and strikd up a converstion, ( all under the supervisio of nursing). Activities is not just a nursing thing.
