2017-11-21 07:22:30 PM ebroughton I have a HIPPA question if anyone knows the answer...my online research hasn't done much help. I have several residents who like their photos taken, either with therapy dogs or holiday decorations. We don't have a facility camera. Is it violating HIPPA for staff to take on cell phones, print on our printer, and delete immediately after? Even considering that some of my residents have a guardian or POA?

2017-11-21 07:22:54 PM theresas1014 Yes it is a hippa violation to take pictures on your phone!
2017-11-21 07:22:58 PM kathyhughes and it is within the context of the activity and what the residents can do
