2018-02-06 07:52:01 PM kathyhughes It is your state approved course and would make you qualified if your state approved the MEPAP1 as the state approved course
2018-02-06 07:52:11 PM scarvalho09 @kathyhughes i have 9 years exp as an assistant and am now the director will i have to take MEPAP2 to become certified?
2018-02-06 07:52:13 PM camogden @doreenschaffer it depends in your state

2018-02-06 07:52:54 PM mariebarboza My State does not require a Certifiation, just doing it to learn and be a Director in the future

2018-02-06 07:54:15 PM scarvalho09 thank you
2018-02-06 07:54:17 PM kristenamrein My state does require certification, but not national certification. I'm going for the national certification so that even if I get a job in another state, I can still be the Director of Activities and not have to worry about going through a separate certification process.
2018-02-06 07:54:19 PM jeri speaking of grandkids I just heard 2 come in and am out of her.

2018-02-06 07:55:12 PM rickyd Okay... I didn't realize that the state could have a qualifier for AD other than certification. Would I be lucky enough to have WA state qualify me without MEPAP1 and the national exam?

2018-02-06 07:56:00 PM tashua1 I assume that since they are paying for MEPAP1 and expect me to stay at least a minimum of 1 year after completion then they will want me to become fully certified and take what steps necessary for me to obtain it.
2018-02-06 07:56:01 PM robinfess thanks everyone
