We also have Tater Tuesdays- Baked Potatoes with all of the toppings and Fried Chicken Fridays- Kentucky Fried Chicken and the fixins. Almost all of our residents attend. They love it.

2018-02-27 07:20:09 PM rickyd We do classic story time, which is usually poorly attended, but yesterday I had the task of reading, and chose a book centered around the Old West, and a gunslinger turned good. I tried my best to read with infliction when changing characters; plus I believe my southeren accent helped give the male characters a little more color. As it turned out, the residents loved it (maybe a first) and are hooked on the story...they can't wait to see what "Smokey Jensen" get into next.

Line the tables with paper so that the dyue won't stain and let them have at it! They love doing that and they love making the egg salad the day after.
