2013-10-01 06:18:59 PM kathyhughes Then there was a time we didn't have it at all for a couple of years
2013-10-01 06:19:03 PM suzanneoliver My residents are getting to where they love trivia as much as bingo
2013-10-01 06:19:04 PM aholscher I wouldn't do it every day even if they wanted to, to be honest. We can do more to stimulate them in different ways. But that also is related to the fact that I'm in group homes - so we don't have 7 activities a day to put the variety in there
2013-10-01 06:19:05 PM kelsey827 id like to play for quarters or give away tickets and then choose a winner from there but they didnt like that either
2013-10-01 06:19:06 PM jenniferroberts Nooo!

2013-10-01 06:19:54 PM jenniferroberts Wow! I wish we had some spend money for donated bingo prizes. That would be awesome!
2013-10-01 06:20:06 PM carolynlnig Yes $15.00 not $1500, thanks
2013-10-01 06:20:14 PM kalamclemore Im trying prizes on the saturdays we play. But it takes a big chunk out of my budget
2013-10-01 06:20:16 PM golden93277 lol oh!
2013-10-01 06:20:17 PM jenniferroberts Yeah, they need a variety of activities

2013-10-01 06:20:29 PM kathyhughes Its Fall cleaning time....time to go room to room and help residents clean their drawers
2013-10-01 06:20:29 PM angiemcentire to big of a chunk
2013-10-01 06:20:31 PM juniorbull MUST SCHEDULE A FULL CALENDER OF VARIETY OF INTERESTS
2013-10-01 06:20:38 PM brittanyclevenger Sometimes I really wish we had a few more guys. I feel bad for the ones we have.. And I try to incorporate "guy" activities but the few guys we have are so different from each other that they dont even like spending time with each other.
2013-10-01 06:20:42 PM kathyhughes then you get all the Bingo prizes back
2013-10-01 06:20:43 PM ssactivities we had a guy call bingo and the ladies never asked ?s

2013-10-01 06:20:57 PM kstaples20 I heard of facilities re-using thier prizes from cleaningout rooms
2013-10-01 06:20:58 PM kenneyjk29 Haha thats one way to "clean house"!!!
2013-10-01 06:21:02 PM jcheney lol
2013-10-01 06:21:06 PM charmaine surely!
2013-10-01 06:21:09 PM aholscher I was at a conference recently where the woman presented about options besides bingo. She asked an important question about how many of us would have bingo on our personal fun list. No one raised their hands. She said it would likely be that way for our residents too. They like it so much because we reward them for it. Just an interesting way to think about it
2013-10-01 06:21:10 PM hellomia2 just because u have bingo everyday doesnt mean there is not other activities going oon
2013-10-01 06:21:18 PM jenniferroberts You must have a big staff to have activities that many hours
2013-10-01 06:21:19 PM kathyhughes We did it in the Spring and Fall

2013-10-01 06:21:23 PM ssactivities lucky you
2013-10-01 06:21:32 PM carolynlnig We told the participants we could play an extra day a week if they did not need prizes, and just play for fun. Many complained and said "no Fair" but since we don't have bingo more than once a week, they recently sid they just wanted to play for fun.
2013-10-01 06:21:33 PM shannond i have carpal tunnel of the thumbs
2013-10-01 06:21:35 PM kelsey827 there are 3 of us in a 65 bed facility
2013-10-01 06:21:35 PM adaigrepont76 The residents get real excited when they play for real money! We need to do that more because that was alot of fun! We put money in different envelopes with a # on them then they picked the # they wanted and it was a surprise to them how much they won! Could be 50 cents to 5 dollars! They really enjoyed that!
2013-10-01 06:21:45 PM kenneyjk29 2 in a 64 bed facility.
