We also have a lot of behaviors on our unit but we have to do everything we can. It is frustrating especially when other departments arent willing to help us when we were are actually doing their work for them

Because if they are on meds that are causing them to be drowsy and fall asleep then no activity will benefit them and nursing will need to try to "fix" their meds. We have residents that have behavior provlems and are given Adavan but they then become zombies. So nursing works with the doctors to try to lower the dosage, change times of the doses or change their meds so that the resident can experience their life the way they should and not be
