2017-05-23 06:30:27 PM prymyc I have evening activities 2 times a week
2017-05-23 06:30:27 PM jadams69 I DO 6 ACTIVITIES EVERY DAY... UNLESS I HAVE A BIG EVENT LIKE BIRTHDAY PARTY

2017-05-23 06:30:52 PM asjodin thats a good idea april--check youtube
2017-05-23 06:31:01 PM prymyc and i come in every other saturday to do activities programs
2017-05-23 06:31:02 PM mbear We leave games and movies out for them to use at night. But I know thats not as good as having an activity planned and someone there to execute it
2017-05-23 06:31:13 PM elvira06 I just printted up residents rights and we started going over them in my resident counil meetings
2017-05-23 06:31:21 PM becki8561 In Minnesota there is no statute that says night activities are mandated.
2017-05-23 06:31:24 PM aprilgfoster some one told me to look at the book stores
2017-05-23 06:31:29 PM jeant Our residents will seldom initiate activities on their own
2017-05-23 06:31:32 PM aprilgfoster but i havnt had any luck
2017-05-23 06:31:43 PM kathyhughes Our evening parties once a month ended at 10PM
2017-05-23 06:31:43 PM asjodin yeah-I was wrong it is our facility that expects the night activities
2017-05-23 06:31:44 PM becki8561 However, it does have the potential to help with behaviors and falls.
2017-05-23 06:31:46 PM knapier we do about 3-4activites everyday. then between 1-3 is when we do assessment, 1-1 visits, work on calendars and anthing else that needs to be done
2017-05-23 06:31:51 PM 8800971 my facility has mon to sunday day and evening activities its alot of scheduling
2017-05-23 06:31:57 PM catiah Guys I did a residents' Rights Bingo with my Ombudsman. It was a blast!!!!

2017-05-23 06:32:01 PM prymyc I found out about something today that may be helpful to those of you who have residents who like to read but are unable to see the print
2017-05-23 06:32:02 PM asjodin wow! Do you get good turnout for evening parties that late?
2017-05-23 06:32:04 PM priscillad its what the company wants...state says we're doing fine with just the 2 of us....with 6 scheduled evening activities a month
2017-05-23 06:32:09 PM loriann 10 pm!!!!
2017-05-23 06:32:09 PM courtneyr2009 wowza Kathy !
2017-05-23 06:32:09 PM patfuller I just now started the mixing of activities because of our recent assissgnment on men activities in NH. It gets pretty noisy but hey the residnts love having more than one activity going at a time.
2017-05-23 06:32:11 PM maryjane1 wow Kathy, our people would be sleeping
2017-05-23 06:32:13 PM loriann Thats awesome!

2017-05-23 06:33:02 PM kathyhughes and 2nd shift would stay to help
2017-05-23 06:33:03 PM maryjane1 lol Kathy!
2017-05-23 06:33:09 PM prymyc The Library of Congress has an application that you fill out and (from what I was told) they send cassette players and audio books so that your residents who cant see well can still "read"
2017-05-23 06:33:11 PM asjodin That was a good idea catiah
2017-05-23 06:33:16 PM kathyhughes and the ADM, DON and all the Dept Heads
2017-05-23 06:33:19 PM prymyc I have the link to the application if anyone would like it
2017-05-23 06:33:21 PM nikiawyche 1am my residents would have sleep the next day
2017-05-23 06:33:26 PM jurell7 i started reading their rights at every resident council meeting because of the new residents that we get
2017-05-23 06:33:30 PM asjodin cool
2017-05-23 06:33:31 PM catiah It was an wonderful way to learning and have fun
2017-05-23 06:33:31 PM 8800971 I am waiting for our baseball tickets the games are at night sometimes get back at 11 they love it
2017-05-23 06:33:32 PM bcramer we are having a dog show next month. 99% of residents go out on the patio to be around 20 or so dogs. One lady that cries out a lot stayed in the heat for 2 hours during the whole dog show and refused to go in when asked. Of course we keep residents hydrated and in the shade, but it is still hot in June in Texas
2017-05-23 06:33:34 PM nikiawyche thats great seems like you have alot of team work
2017-05-23 06:33:35 PM gmhalpin how big is your staff? I have 1 ft (myself) 2 20 hr & 1 16 hour for 97 residents. I could def use more help to run more programs.
2017-05-23 06:33:36 PM elvira06 Wow ! kathy party ppl :D
2017-05-23 06:33:39 PM crystalclt23 the amount of people who attend the night programs I would think just as long as they are offered and are inriching the people who choose to join that would be good
2017-05-23 06:33:40 PM melodyh we do it at least once amonth to we have themes for it im doing a roaring 20's theme next like great gatsby
2017-05-23 06:33:43 PM jeant Some of our residents receive materials from the Library of Congress
2017-05-23 06:33:44 PM yogini WE are 1 to 5 pm. so we don't have to worry for late evening activity.
