2018-02-27 07:29:51 PM kstarr on the note of tea parties:: i just got these mom and little daughter volunteers who will be spearheading our "Tea for Two Time" and the idea is to get pretty table cloths and a fancy hat and boa box and other frilly things to wear, and have floral arranging activity while they wait for tea. Residents get to pick their tea...and we will have a Youtube playlist going with music about tea. IN fact, there is a playlist on youtube for tea time. PLay it during the tea social~!!

I put donuts in the community room one time and went to get the coffee when I got back a whole box was gone. I tried to track it down but never found it. I think they brought it out to their car. We are in a very diverse area, with many different belief systems; and our facility is representative of the community. However, when I play the guitar and sing for them I am free a wide variety of songs, yet there favorites are songs of faith (regardless of their beliefs)

My residents love live entertainment, and it gives them new and varied individuals to commune with; other than the regular staff and residents.

I decide to make our trip out a set day each month; and just after the first of the month. I hoping for a better response from those in control of the facility bus, and that the residents will have money available.
