I have worked in nursing home for awhile and have one go out for just a command cold /flu or a fall, and come back with advance dementia . It cna also be due to the med change. Sad thing is that sometimes with med adjustment they could bounce bad, but very likely they do. We had one who walked around all the time, who came back in a wheel chair and had a very bad gate.
