A local day care comes in to visit in their costumes and do an intergenterational activity with the residents. And the week before halloween the community trick-or-treats at the facility

2019-09-17 06:13:08 PM lhalfacre I have to say Easter was wonderful when I bought 12 dozen of paintable eggs and bought some paint. Each resident got a pair of gloves and poured paint in the palm of their hands. They rolled the egg around and I have to say the Eggs came out beautiful.

We worked with our wonderful speech therapist and dietary director to acquire an innovative new gel thickener for all of our beverages. Works so much better than powder!

They usually express their interest during resident council and anyone who wants to join in is able to. We in activities facilitate this, from providing them with menus, to ordering, and having it delivered. The money spent is charged to their personal "entertainment" accounts.
