2020-07-07 07:18:53 PM smagana the only issue with switching the course from MEPAP to NAPT is that the AP-BC certification is not as high as a certification as the APC certifications. I received an email from the NAAP discrediting ActivityDirector.org statement that this new caurse is the equivalent of the MEPAP. I would make sure to discuss this with your department heads to make sure that you are being properly certified for you state requirements.

Once we are 14 days free then we will be released as a Covid-HUB and some larger SMALL group things can happen. We won't be opening the doors to the outside for a while yet according to our Administrator.

2020-07-07 07:28:54 PM spassa Not sure if you guys have transportation but I also drive residents on our outing and we do country rides ... I wipe down the bus and we set one to a seat and every other seat.... no stopping so i put oldies music on a cd and gave them ice cream and we drove for 1 hour

2020-07-07 07:42:24 PM vgreen My advise to anyone that has not experienced COVID in there building, just do the best you can. The stressful parts only last for so long. Don't make yourself sick trying to keep up. People are sick, and those same people want you there when they feel better again.

2020-07-07 07:52:52 PM vgreen Can I add another observsation I noticed. So many of our residents are recovering and now being seen by rehab due to deconditioning, decreased weight and so much more. We truly do add to their quality of life, physically and emotionally. Sometimes it is hard to see that because so many of them have behaviors....atitudes.

2020-07-08 06:10:26 PM lwilliams10 I review each section though when it comes to me completing their careplan because certain things listed it is good to have a diagnosis to back up why it is written a certain way for one resident.

2020-07-08 06:12:36 PM lwilliams10 It depends on when everyone completes their sections if mine in activities triggers right off the bat. Sometimes i can complete my section then have to go back and check when others complete theirs because it triggers my section.

2020-07-08 06:16:11 PM lwilliams10 All sections usually show up red, white or yellow until completed then it changes to green. If it doesnt trigger my section right off the bat i check back the day the actual assessment is due or my MDS Nurse will email me and let me know i have a CAA to complete.
