It gives the resident a sense of purpose. We also have the resident wrap the little gifts to give away so they get excited when they see someone at thier table win.

There is a story how National Nursing Home Week got started and share that in a small booklet next to the board of events. Also balloons is good too. I think you could give everyone a balloon and ask them to send all Nursing Homes a blessing from our House to yours. Then let the residents write their blessings on a piece of paper roll it up and put it in the balloons, blow them up and send them off. Yeah. Maybe one day we might here back from someone.
