I am going for Adult Day Specific, I am working on getting the rest of my CE's by the end of this year, and the head activities director for our senior center is retiring in 2 years , she is AD certified. They have talked to me about possibly taking her position. I would need mepap 2 and i will most certainly be doing it here

Our Advanced LNA's have to do some sort of "project" with the residents off their LNA hours once a year in order to maintain their Advanced LNA status. A couple of the LNA's chose this for their project.

It allows them to work, have time to themselves and sometimes it can be unproductive for them to be there due to the clients becoming distracted. We have 2 family days a month though, which involves coffee and a light snack at the end of the day

Tommorow they are throwing a halloween party for the seniors in our city (Its a city of over 52,000 people), and they allow us to bring our day program to the giant hall to join the party. Its $12 a ticket but our clients never pay for a party. DJ and dancing, costume contest, giveaways and a beef tenderloin dinner and dessert. They allow us to be just like everyone else its awesome

SO for instance, Our CNA's are my activity assitant, so many times they are multi tasking and get frustarted very easy. They are quick to shutdown activities if they dont go perfect the first time. Anyone deal with this?
