2016-03-15 06:04:22 PM tlgst16 We have a program called "Adopt a Resident" where a Volunteer that may not enjoy regular group activities can "Adopt a resident" and visit someone that usually doesnt get any visitors. We introduce the pair and let them get to know one other. This has worked out really well and has resulted in many volunteers and residents forming close bonds.

Another does the "coffee social" which actually needs the most experience as they have to know all of the dietqary needs/restrictions. I have a very musical volutneer who does a Music for Memories group every week! All of the volunteers are great

2016-03-15 06:08:13 PM kmykalw I never let a volunteer do 1:1s unless they are in a common area. I find that works the best, just in case something should occur that the volunteer isn't equiped to handle
