2016-03-01 07:32:20 PM theresar We have Shortcut Bingo. It's like Jingo. The spaces are pictures and we give them clues to solve.

2016-03-01 07:32:22 PM morgan5115 why not allow bingo?
2016-03-01 07:32:24 PM shensle fridays we cant cause its shabbos in the building so there isnt any real activities going
2016-03-01 07:32:25 PM kgates I used to do two activities in the evenings too. But then I noticed I was working and the cna's were just standing around watching so I talked with the nurse manager and she arranged to have them take over the activity by picking one of the float people, to do the activity after supper, whcih actually helped them to slow people down after supper and the call light problem stopped. So it works to ask for help from staff especially if your working all day already.
2016-03-01 07:32:30 PM morgan5115 ours like regualar bingo as well

2016-03-01 07:33:19 PM jennyw my facility only has night activities a few nights a week because we're limited the amount of hours in the department. It kills me that something like $ limits keeping the residents happy/occupied more than a few nights a week. But during the day we are fully staffed in activities
2016-03-01 07:33:19 PM sue123 I asked about buying a parachute and building said no, too expensive . then I found two in closets tucked away. We have been having fun with them.
2016-03-01 07:33:22 PM jackie26 how many night activities the state request, Kathy

2016-03-01 07:33:56 PM morgan5115 we put up our independent living calendar which has things each night..that generally covers us for state regs
2016-03-01 07:33:56 PM shensle yeah we have seven days a week just 5 nights
2016-03-01 07:33:58 PM jackie26 i do 7 days a week, but only one night
2016-03-01 07:34:00 PM jaiken My residents don't care for crafts, arts & painting or board games
2016-03-01 07:34:00 PM sue123 We do the same thersar.
2016-03-01 07:34:02 PM tonic We have one scheduled in the evening.
2016-03-01 07:34:10 PM tlgst16 Jingo is wonderful. We have about 10 different sets. If you're residents like bingo, they most likely would enjoy jingo. It's bingo with pictures.
2016-03-01 07:34:12 PM shensle i wish we had that
2016-03-01 07:34:16 PM summermurphy The facility that I visited takes residents to the Senior Center for outings

2016-03-01 07:48:26 PM kgates 12 and under is a fun dice game with lots of participation, always a crowd. All you need is a white board the numbers 1-12 written accrosss the top. and the residents names on the left column. They roll the dice, if they get a one and two you x those out. You do it for everyone until someone has all their # covered in x's they get a prize. Its great for socialization, hand eye coordination, counting, adding and laughing.
