2018-04-25 06:37:32 PM elijahhanley55 true cchase
2018-04-25 06:37:34 PM cchase bottom line is that it is less to have someone in adult day than long term care

2018-04-25 06:38:25 PM sjorgensen I'm trying to come up with some different sounding names for the activities on my calendar besides the "tried and true" names.

2018-04-25 06:39:41 PM samjones I hope my parents never get old ;) ...oh my heavens....
2018-04-25 06:39:41 PM tonjaboyd My family owns an adult medical cay care in NJ I was the activity director for many years when we did activities with food we focused more on the activity
2018-04-25 06:39:47 PM elijahhanley55 My gut just dropped hearing those prices
2018-04-25 06:39:57 PM priscillad So true chase. Its so sad but so true

2018-04-25 06:40:20 PM sjorgensen Without insurance...how does someone pay for that???
2018-04-25 06:40:33 PM robertambadger no one can afford it..well almost no one..they have to go on medical assistance
2018-04-25 06:40:35 PM samjones that's when they live in the sad scary facilities probably :(
2018-04-25 06:40:48 PM sjorgensen I'm aging at home!!!
2018-04-25 06:40:49 PM elizabethrahe Sometimes family helps out, but some/many go into debt :(

2018-04-25 06:40:59 PM samjones oh my
2018-04-25 06:41:00 PM sfaria Private pay is rare
2018-04-25 06:41:02 PM elijahhanley55 true ton I did that as well but having the residents have fun with the idea of making great snacks created a love for that activity
2018-04-25 06:41:03 PM cchase one of the reasons why adult day has been so welcomed is the costs of long term care
2018-04-25 06:41:12 PM sfaria so true
2018-04-25 06:41:19 PM sjorgensen I get that...
2018-04-25 06:41:25 PM samjones i need to find one in my area for my grandparents!!
2018-04-25 06:41:25 PM delanie02 And it's just a unique choice altogether.

2018-04-25 06:41:40 PM cchase cost in long term can also vary depending on the level of nursing care provided
2018-04-25 06:41:55 PM elijahhanley55 some residents has medicaid coverages and medicare as well

2018-04-25 06:42:05 PM sjorgensen Dang...I can't AFFORD to get old!
2018-04-25 06:42:07 PM robertambadger skilled is hugely expensive
2018-04-25 06:42:12 PM sfaria Most have medicaid in my facility
2018-04-25 06:42:25 PM cchase usually we loose a enrolled person to long term when the family has issues keeping them home at night
2018-04-25 06:42:30 PM elijahhanley55 that is true robert
2018-04-25 06:42:40 PM tonjaboyd some states you can get wavers you just have to find if your day services can except it
2018-04-25 06:42:44 PM sfaria It must be so hard for the fmilies to make that decision
2018-04-25 06:42:44 PM sjorgensen So, wandering becomes an issue?
2018-04-25 06:42:44 PM elijahhanley55 oh wow ok cchase

2018-04-25 06:43:21 PM samjones does medicare help with adult day ?
2018-04-25 06:43:21 PM delanie02 left the chat room
2018-04-25 06:43:24 PM delanie02 enter the chat room
2018-04-25 06:43:28 PM elijahhanley55 yes for ours due to the dangers for that resident it can bring
2018-04-25 06:43:31 PM cchase in our state you can pay privately or you have private long term care insurance or you are on state aided funding
2018-04-25 06:43:49 PM delanie02 Sorry, internet just kicked me off there for a minute.
