On Saturday the 23rd we have our annual craft fair where local vendors come and sell things and the residents make things to sell on the table , all the money goes to our christmas fund for the residents to get them gifts for christmas

But when it does, our Social worker said for us not to put in on the calendar. It's amost like they frown on it, but I feel that if that is what the residents want to play as one of their activities they should be allowed too. I mean we dont even have those folks on the floor yet, and I feel we should get the assessments on them and see what their interests are, and go from there. I just want to know if anyone elese has this problem in their facility

They also want to make a large cookie/snack tray to have out on Christmas morning in the Great Room. This will be for all but especially those who do not have anyone to visit or anywhere to go.

2019-11-12 07:01:43 PM ruthknable Last Saturday, our residents helped stuff over 100 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. A local church brought everything and our folks stuffed them. They loved it. Also, we have a tailgate party coming up and are getting ready for the large family dinners in mid December.
2019-11-12 07:02:08 PM joannet We did salt dough ornaments today for an activity and the residents absolutely loved it because they were able to decorate and design their own ornament. Some residents did try to eat it though...thank God it was only flour, salt and water.
